Neuromuscular Performance Institute is pleased to offer our unique FITT program for health, fitness and performance.

What is F.I.T.T.?

F.I.T.T. stands for Functional Integrated Therapy and Training. We are the only facility that truly integrates both the benefits of neuromuscular release therapy (NRT) and functional exercise into a unique personalized program.

NRT is the simplest and most effective pain relief technique on the market today. Functional training is the most logical and sensible training method for increasing longevity in the human body. It just makes sense to combine these two very simple, yet highly effective techniques into one extremely powerful program.

Functional Training is a new way at looking at fitness. Instead of focusing on just training individual muscles we focus on improving how your body moves and the ability of the muscles to work together while strengthening, “toning”, conditioning and improving endurance. Functional training integrates together elements of cardiorespiratory training, flexibility, core strength, balance and upper and lower body strength into one program. Just like a recipe we can custom tailor the ingredients of each program to make a combination that will be right for each and every individual from the person who has not exercised in years to the most advanced athlete.

The combination of NRT with function training allows your body to instantly perform more efficiently during workouts. Imbalanced patterns that exist within your body will create areas of over tight, shortened muscle tissue that will lead to faulty movement patterns. NRT therapy will release these affected tissues quickly making your workouts more efficient that any other workout you have ever done.

*Currently our FITT Programs are only being offered at our North Scottsdale location inside the Core Performance Personal Training Studio.

Potential Benefits of FITT

  • reduction of muscle imbalance that can lead to injury

  • better recruitment of muscles that may be inhibited

  • increased muscle “tone” in problem areas

  • improved flexibility

  • improved balance

  • improvements in overall strength

  • increased metabolism

  • decreased body fat

  • increased lean muscle mass

Comparison between F.I.T.T. and conventional gym training:

Conventional – focuses on isolated muscles and takes away body stability
FITT – works large muscle groups together and increases core stability

Conventional – little to no importance on flexibility
FITT – flexibility specific for shortened muscle tissue

Conventional – less increase in metabolic rate
FITT – promotes greater increase in metabolic rate

Conventional – very monotonous and repetitive
FITT – constantly changing exercises adds variety and excitement

Conventional – people adapt to programs and stop making progress
FITT – program exercises and other variables are regularly adjusted for continued gains

Conventional – high risk of injury
FITT – correction of imbalances reduces risk of injury
